Well you cant get much more precise than a large milling machine Emil.
CNC machines are the best.
What I meant was the guy who converted a large milling machine on youtube it printed ok.

It'll likely be sometime this weekend!
MG12's is what I'm using on my Z axis, where did you buy them?
I got a 400mm one from ebay. £16.99
This is just to experiment with. My funds are very limited for RND so I have to riddle out what actually works and what doesn't before buying test gear.
I do a lot of prototype development work. Mechanical, Electrical, Design engineering.
To simplify the concept: All 3D printers are CNC machines by definition, thus all CNC machines can do 3D printing easilly, the only limitaton they have is their price, well, and their size and weight too.
My EDM old machine is 1.2 ton, and is the smallest non portable model, non CNC thus when I will replace the command wheels with servos it will become CNC, and adding the extruder, feeder and some other electronics, also a printer.
Matter of budget, money is scarce here.
Awesome! This will get me a long way in my design. I hope you don't mind me using some of your models to use for my printer. I will only use for my build.
