3D Printers, Makers, DIY hacks, solutions and post printing tools

well seems im the first one to reply but a bit late as well but , anyway , well i did graduate from university witch dose not make any difference cause the only thing that matters is doing something with what u learns , and we learn more from the Internet and life , so i'm just a simple guy ho wants to fly or make things fly i want to make hover boards hover bike a personal flying vehicle a jet pack a rotary engine for my scooter or at least i need to start with a turbo booster , im really into making my own job with 3D printing , i make the model print it in plastic then mold it then cast it then sell it or use it for my self , with some of the ideas i have (wich are not all great) 3D printing can really be a game changer , i do gaming and currently trying to model as much as i can of airplane concepts i find online to sell them on CGtrader im still a beginner but its a way to get some money to buy stuff online , and most of the DIY project get into either knowledge or budget or the method of obtaining the result , not everything we imagine can work or can be obtained unless a 3D printer is there to make the impossible .

I'm quite new to the world of 3D printing. I'm getting old and starting to shake so this seems like a good place to start with projects that don't need my physical prowess anymore. My wife keeps me too busy to let me actually finish any projects so maybe I can get one done with your help. I also started doing some backyard foundry stuff, mostly just melting aluminum cans and making ingots at this point but I have a vision to make some wall plaques by molding molten aluminum in Green Sand forms. Currently I am working on making models with the 3D printer. These PLA models are not nearly tough enough to stand up to repeated compressions into sand to make molds for the aluminum. So, I will be making Silicone Rubber molds off of the 3D printed items and use the Silicone Rubber molds to make models out of Liquid Acrylic. I THINK the acrylic will be tough enough to stand up to packing sand multiple times.  I also have MOST of the parts I need to build a CNC Milling machine that is larger than my 3D printer. But then, is anything like this EVER large enough to really do what you want to do?  LOL!

bear one thing in ming, a CNC machine can 3D print, and any 3D printer is a CNC machine after all, so you might use your CNC mill by just adding a direct drive extruder to print larger things, like.. parts for an even larger printer.

Hi :) I came to 3D printing because of my new hobby .More than a year ago I have discovered an Arduino micro controller, and how amazing things can be build based on it. I have decided become a maker , and soon I understood that I need a 3D printer in order to make really amazing staff. And, if I want to be a maker, why not to start from designing and building a 3D printer by myself :) ? So, currently I'm finally starting to print on my printer that I have made; such a great filling of satisfaction that you made something that worth it, and its work :) Its a good feeling, to be Creator :) Now, I have thousands new ideas , that just waiting to be realized ( and, as always, just don't have time ).
