This looks like a dual head print to me..

I should be able to do this with my Prusa with the MMU2 upgrade once it comes in.

I have seen an example from one guy who does his material changes manually. Up to 9 colors.

You ca achieve that with various methods, one is to have a tool changing machine, but the price is high, another one is to use a cyclope or diamond printing head, with the problems they bring, because nothing comes without problems, aother one is to use a dual nozzle system like Chimera if you print low temperatures, below 240C at which the teflon heatbreak sleeve still resists without cracking into nasty chemicals in fumes.

I am doing far beyond what you see, but to do that you need some specialised tools, like dual filament water cooled heasink, two high performance heatblocks with PT1000 thermistors, adeguate heater cartdridge in ceramics capable to go up to 600C, and a lot of firmware workaround, and than you can play with multimaterials printing that have high differences in accepted temperatures, and you can do some whacky things like I do.

how can I search the technology? Could you share the name of the technology?

Chimera head is just find without much trouble on the firmware side's.

It does work fine for ABS/ABS or ABS/HIPS ^^

I personnally recomend the use of a Cyclop's head but be careful: you want one looking like an Y, not like a reversed T, i.e. you want only one tube guidance and not two (it will all make cense when you will look for it ;-) ).

Hello !!! Here is a 3D printer head, called cyclops, that you can find for 15€ on aliexpress. This version work quite well in contrary to the previous model of cylcop's head. The model is accurate enough to be added to a 3D printer design but not accurate enough to be milled right away. Enjoy ;-)

You can simply print multi-material by spliting your model into several Parts. you can use Meshmixer to do this. See this video tutorial:
