What is this feature called?

I am specifically looking for the proper terminology for the type of mount this is. I have always known it as a Vernier Washer but clearly that is incorrect now that I have tried to apply that to Google and come up with nothing.

Specifically, I would like to design a part that has this type of incremental locking in a circular pattern.

Just wondering if anyone knows of either an industry standard for it... or... if I should just make it up as I go.

Hi, this seams more likely a self lock nut, or a variant of it.

THis is essentially the big fat version of what I was hoping to do. With more time I could have reduced this down to the thin features in the original picture.

Looks to be some adaptation to a "nord-lock" especially if you have 2 identical parts mated together to prevent rotation.

Your screenshots look like a nice fit. Well done!

It's known as a rosette lock plate or rotating rosette lock if it has triangular indentations like that one. They seem to be a variant of the Hirth joint https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hirth_joint . The triangular indents mean that it can be rotated without lifting the plate once the tightening mechanism is loosened. The square indents are referred to as curvic couplings and are normally spring loaded and require the 2 plates to be pried apart as they won't roll over each other, making it a more secure design.
