HI EVERYONE.
I CREATED AN REVISION TABLE AND WHEN I PUT THE REVISION TAG, IT DOESN'T FILL THE COLUMNS (SHEET ZONE AND SHEET PAGE).
HOW I LET MY REVISION TABLE AUTOMATED?
Hello There
I would like to kindly answer your question, I believe there are some confusion here.
In Autodesk Inventor drawing environment there are Part List tables, Revision Tables, and General tables (maybe there is another one but I don't remember now)
Part List are like some kind of extension of the BOM (bill of materials) is synchronize with the BOM meaning, that every time you modify the Assembly from where the Part list is taking the info the BOM will be automatically updated and therefore the Part List. Now, the Part List entities are the only one kind of intelligent object that is associated with Balloon tag so pointing to a component in a view that is associated to a part list will put an icon on the Part List exactly at the object that is tagged.
Modifying this number (or tag) on the part list editor will modify the Tag.
On the other hand, Revision table has not association with tags in Inventor, Revision tables is associated with drawings sheet or with drawing files. What this means? At the moment of the placement of this intelligent object (the revision List) a dialog box will show asking you if you want the revision to refer the current sheet or all the sheets in the drawing file. You have to be careful sometimes is tricky to obtain the desire result. If your intention is to "automatize" certain tasks like Title blocks or iproperties sometimes is better do it manually. otherwise it can become a nightmare and a complete waste of time
Another thing:
Autodesk Vault got nothing to do with your question at this point/level of your inquire, One thing to keep in mind Autodesk Vault Professional is the only PDM aplication from Autodesk that can manipulate the BOM from the client side of the Server/Client application. In other words, you can without open inventor manipulate the BOM using Autodesk Vault Professional, in some extents.
Thanks P.Lopez for explanation.
i thought this could be done, because in Solid Works this "automation" is possible and simple.
Hello Joao
Thank you for the note, yes this can be done as well in Autodesk Inventor as I mentioned before, however my explanation was in general to get you to think what do you want to achieve, because there are 2 different things or concepts involved: Revision Lists, and Part Lists.
