It’s evidently a large assemble coupled with a large edit of some sort. All Inventor is really telling you is that you won’t be able to undo whatever edit you’re attempting. It’s not necessarily a true error.

Think about how often you need to undo you’re edits. Typically, you can’t undo more than the last dozen edits at most anyway.

I can think of three options:
1. Let Inventor automatically increase the undo file size like it suggests. (The 1 gigabyte you have now is more than enough in most cases.)
2. Break the edit you are doing into smaller steps. Verify the results of each step before moving on.
3. Ignore the warning. This is not really an error in the sense that Inventor will crash or your data will be corrupted. Inventor is just letting you know you can’t simply hit the undo button after your edit.

The reason Inventor labels this a “serious error” is, whatever edit you are making is quite complicated or it wouldn’t take so much memory. Since it can’t automatically undo your edit, if you change your mind it could possibly take you many hours or even days to recreate the state of your design before your edit. Inventor is warning you that the change (transaction) you are making is essentially permanent unless you are willing to spend hours or days undoing the change. Again, it’s just letting you know the undo button will not be available for this particular edit unless you let Inventor automatically increase the undo file size.
