It almost impossible as spring has infinite number of DOF to get compressed or released. But Simlab, blender works well in motion of spring.

Make a parametric spring, change the spring length step by step an make a screenshot every step. Then put all the pictures into Photoscape or GIF-X to make a GIF.

but it looks like a trick, this will make process tough. Like no moving or changing position of spring and much to make animation look better.

Impossible?, sorry but this fact isn't true, read manual DMU Kinematics and you will see of course is possible to do in Catia V5

But will be great task because of capturing each frame for spring in catia than in blender or simlab.

I haven't problem to capture everything with my Ryzen 32 cores, 4gb AMD Firepro W7000 and 48 Gb Ram.

I envy your rendering speed. I always have to run animations in Keyshot over night...
