I don´t think you can assign just a simple key as you said as a command.

I am sure that the "F" keys work. (F1,F2,F3,F4,F5,F6,F7,F8,F9;F10;F11;F12)

Aslo you can try key combinations like "CTRL+something"!

But you also have to make sure the keys are not used for other commands.

what kind of keyboard do you have?

In my case the keyboard has an US English Layout, so apostrophe activates the key marked in the the attached picture:

but for some apostrophe is also the key near the enter key

so what exactley do you want to activate? and on what layout?

Yes exactly the key you marked in the attachment is which i want. :)

But i have try the name " apostrophe " it's still not work.

If you have the same keyboard than probably there is an issue on the way Catia and the OS communicate.

Why do you need that particular character and not other?

that is a key that is not on list in Catia V5, i would say for a hot key that you use often use the space bar, "KP_Space" is the code for the space bar.

I keep hide/show set with the space bar as the hot key.

" apostrophe " is not on the list at all.

For me it works.

However, I don't really understand what's the issue in Son's case.

I would assume that there is some sort of conflict in the way Catia and the OS works.
