If you are just looking for a wireframe representation of your part you can extract the relevant faces into a GeoSet. Then use the Boundary tool to create all of the edges. Use Disassemble on the boundary feature that you created. This will give discrete entities for all of the edges of the extracted faces. Now you can delete the edges you don't need to show in your drawing. The bad part about this way is you lose any hidden line capabilities on the drawing.

Another method would be to create a copy of the body with all of the holes and then remove the holes. Use only that body in your drawing. Depending on whether your original body was designed in Catia (has Hole features) or is a dumb solid we determine the exact approach to creating the copy. If you have the hole features you can Paste Special/As specified in Part Document and then just delete the holes from the pasted body. If it is a dumb solid, then you will need to use something like Remove Face or Thickness to get rid of the holes.

I have followed the second method, creating new surface bodies. But this is still tedious as there are edges of primary components hidden behind secondary components, that I have no easy way of converting to sketch entities or projecting to the drawing view. I'll see if superimposing/overlaying views will help me.

I seem to get the result I want from superimposing a view with some of the components hidden on top of the view with all the components showing, after adjusting the lines on the first view using the overload feature. Just hiding components using overload leaves white spaces rather than completing the edges.

Explore what you can do width Scenes in Assembly also.

For example, you can make Scenes in Assembly Design for hide unnecessary components, or to make alternate position for some components, etc.

For your example: Hide secondary components in Assembly, but make it visible in Scene. Then make Drawing View related to Scene and use overload properties for formatting edges of secondary components in dashed lines.
