Create breakout views in sections for some parts

I want to create a breakout view in a section view. The part where I want to create the breakout view should not be sectioned. If I apply the option do not cut in section view for that part the breakout view cannot be created also. What should I do to avoid the problem ? Thank you.

Use OVERLOAD PROPERTIES to turn off the sectioning for selected parts in each view

In V5R19 if I use Overload Properties I remove the part from sectioning and breakout view. I cannot select one of them.

In the section view I want to remove the complete sectioning of a part, but apply a breakout view to that part. I don't understand your suggestion.

I want to create a breakout view in order to see the screw without sectioning the entire part.

Thanks for the picture and extra info. I made a similar Section View that included the Breakout View with the screw not sectioned. (see attached sect view)

1. In the assembly file, I changed the screw instance properties to DO NOT CUT IN SECTION VIEWS to match what you did.

2. I added a Section View on the assembly drawing, with the section NOT through the screw

3. In the Section View, I added a Breakout View and in the 3D Viewer window I dragged the orange line to the center of the screw to define the Depth of the Breakout (see attached)

4. I did NOT have to use Overload Properties to turn off the sectioning for the screw.

You made a breakout view on a part that is already sectioned. I have in fact two screws. The smaller screw is fastened on the larger screw (it is a movement screw with trapezoidal fillet). I want to create a breakout view on the larger screw in order to see the smaller screw without sectioning the larger screw. If I enable Do not cut in section view on the larger screw I cannot create the breakout view anymore.

I tried to recreate a section view, based on your latest information. Just like you said, the Breakout View would not section the large screw when it's properties were set to Do Not Cut.

The only workaround I can think of is to use a Breakout View to section the small screw, and then draw your own breakout area (with a splilne or series of lines) and then Fill the area with your own sectioning.

1. Set to Do not cut in section in Assembly
2. In Draft
1)Create main view
2)Create section view
3)Create Breakout view
See more tip attatched file, please

Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately this does not solve the problem. Please see the file section.png. The part with the breakout view must not be sectioned because it is also a bigger screw. The breakout view must be made in order to see the smaller screw. I have this problem in other drawings where I have to create a breakout view without sectioning the entire part. Only the manual solution suggested previously could work but seems complicated.

If upload your model and draft, I could help you.

Marian, would a partial section work?
