I'll see if I can explain my problem, in my work routine I need to convert 3D models from step to catproduct and from there make 2D drawing, they are usually similar products, but I always have to redraw the 2D drawing.

I wish that whenever I went to make a new 2D drawing, I could make a copy of a similar 2D and in that copy I could change the link of the old 3D model by the new one.

However, it seems that Catia only accepts that I change the link in the new 2D when my new 3D design was built from a copy of my old 3D design.

I would like to change only the links instead of having to design everything again.
