I'm a student of mechanical engineering and looking forward to working as a design engineer in the future. What kind of skills and software should I learn to pave my road to a design engineer.

I'm good at SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, etc, and possess knowledge of software like Ansys, Creo, Autodesk Fusion, etc.

Creo and Ansys knowledge is a good package. You can see many openings in it.
