This looks like a fairly simple one to make, also you can maybe use recucled plastic from bottles for the visor.

We need to find better ways to reduce production times on face shield mounts. I'm looking into a printed mold to see I can do a poured urethane part successfully and much quicker.

Sadly, I dont have experience with poured urethane, so if you could briefly inform me into the process I would apreciate that.

As for injection moulding, these shield mounts are fairly simple, so simplifying them more and making injecton mould models for them will not be complicated.

You know what... I haven't actually done it myself but I have worked with a few design houses who have done it for me. I've been wanting to try it for a long time, no time like the present. Here are a couple of links.

I see, well, if you have the equipment then we could create a 3d printed prototype, from which the silicone moulds would be created. And it is possible to create more shields at once, lets say a mould for 5 shields to be created at the same time, to increase the usefullnes of the moulds.

What do you think bout that ?

The only "hard" thing is to make the prototype of the shield holder symetrical over an plane, as to make it easyer to extract from the moulds, but we have enough free time.
