DAC and Assembly Prioritization

Working from Version 1 (DAC doesn't show up for me in Version 2 for some reason):

I segmented the cortical bone, trabecular bone, and an implant as discrete STLs. I wanted to control the location/depth of the trabecular bone instead of algorithmically derived. When I attempted to send the trabecular bone to DAC, i received a message stating this would not be possible (single shell STL statement).

My hope was to use DAC in conjunction with assembly prioritization. But as is, it seems like I have traded one algorithm-based material stratification for another instead of something specifically-controlled by me as the user. Happy to set up a video call to share what I see and why it is important to address.

We have started to plan the implementation of an assembly in the DAC.

It will take some time due to the complexity and infrastructure changes needed.

However, there is a workaround. You can copy just the trabecular bone from the assembly and past it on the tray. That way it will become a single STL and you can work on the same geometry to create the desired structure.

I know it isn't very elegant but till we will incorporate assemblies I think this is the best approach.

Looking forward to talking more tomorrow. As a quick response, having a trabecular-only shell is interesting, but its purpose in surgical planning is limited without the appropriate cortical shell. I'll have a case queued up for our meeting to discuss.
