Overlapping props on a Quadcopter

Hi all,

I'm planning to design a quad copter which can carry a higher payload. So I decided to use 1355 props to gain a higher thrust. Also I need to reduce the diameter of the drone to go through small spaces. So I came up with an idea to overlap propellers. Can anyone give me an idea about the effect of overlapping props? Will it reduce the thrust by a significant amount? How would that affect to the stability?

Result of the test:

More noise & vibration, no significant increase of lift.

are there some techniques to increase the lift?

Coaxial props (also increase noise)
