I came across this electric 2-wheeler from Onyx that is very interesting since it combines the best of both worlds for an electric BMX bicycle as well as an electric motorcycle for a very reasonable price of about $4K ~ $6K :

Its worth taking a look at but i am not sure if any of the US rebates will apply to the purchase of this e-bike.
What's interesting is that 1/3 the price of the e-bike is the cost of the battery and like any electric vehicle, you need to know what the replacement costs as well as the lifespan of the battery is to understand the maintenance costs fully :
