Not sure about this, but do you think it is a great idea to have a dynamo (generator) to convert our mechanical energy from paddling the ...
Okay, so this idea is really old ! Remember the 1950's style generator for a bicycle light : https://www.sportrhino.com/products/dynamo-generator-12v-6w-bike-light-part-bicycle-lightpart-lowrider-beach-cruiser-chopper-limo-stretch-bike-bmx-track-fixie
Well 6 Watts @ 12 volts = 0.5 amps, but for how long ? And how much drag ?

A typical battery pack charger has to regulate the voltage to 4.2V maximum and supply constant current with a preferred charging of 0.2C, which for a 3,500 mA cell is 700 mA (very close) ! But in regulating down the conversion efficiency is not good. :-(
The drag is, well figuratively speaking, a drag, and is not fun. Not many people want to pedal against a heavy drag unless you are looking for an 'exercise' bike. Perhaps down-hill would be good, since it costs you very little effort, but I don't suppose that people would take to this much.
It's would be like on Giligan's island :

try it sometime and let us know what you personally think about it ! :-b
