Tax credit of up to $3,000 for electric bicycles. from massive US government spending bill

The Build Back Better spending bill, already passed by the House of Representatives and awaiting being passed in the Senate includes provisions for a credit of 30% for up to $3,000 spent on a new e-bicycle, excluding electric bicycles that cost more than $4,000 :

This is obviously targeted to specific lower cost and possibly Chinese only made bicycles since it represents the majority of lower costs bicycles that are imported into the US.

In any case, this may be the beginning of other rebates and tax credits beyond low costs electric bicycles and eventually into the higher costs electric motorcycles, since there are not many (if any) electric motorcycles under $4,000

However the awareness of electric vehicles beyond 4-wheel hybrid and electric cars is becoming a reality with the undeniable fact that electric motorcycles are on the way.

Whether there will be inclusions to this bill in the future or other bills that provide for US government rebates for electric motorcycles is still need to be seen, but the hope for lowering the costs of adopting to electric motorcycles in likely in the near future.
