I am an electrical engineer and professional system design engineer and I have seen first-hand many people just throw in the towel when it comes to learning electronics. I personally think there are a lot of ways learning electronics could be made easier. One of the main issues many beginners have is visualizing what is happening and get massively confused with conventional current and electron flow. Also short hand abbreviation in equations are probably the biggest problem by far for the beginner when things start to get serious. Official statement is they were apparently designed make things quicker for calculations although I seriously question this motive. It is quite clear that it takes far longer to search and look up what the short hand abbreviations actually mean and commit them all to memory than to write what they actually are in the first place.
