Far East Nightmare getting datasheets for IC's Is this the end of repair Industry ?

Most of the cheap tat coming out of the far east is not worth repairing these days. It seems like the majority of repairs I do now I can not even find the datasheets online for IC's. This is a constant issue restricting the ability to repair resulting in endless landfill.

Many far east manufacturers are now requesting supply manufacturers change part codes and even change standard off the shelf jellybean IC part codes to their own codes before they purchase for the manufacture process. They then never release datasheets with the new codes making repair next to impossible or extremely difficult and time consuming.

The latest problem for me is I need to extract information from the K9ABG08U0A-MCB0 4GB Flash Memory good luck finding a pin out or datasheet for this. Reverse engineering makes this time consuming but I will do it anyway. This is just my latest in a long line of far east tat IC never ending nightmares.

If this is the way forward for the future Is it worth dedicating your life to being an electrical engineer ?
