I had some discussions about twist of belt and no one actually gave me reason why twisting belt is bad other than because it is not designed to be used this way. Maybe someone will at some point. What you look at is a start point not a finished product. I think about replacing belt with use of closed hydraulic loop. I only try to find an answer if it has potential to compete with standard engine. Thanks for you comment

This type of rotary mechanism to control the distribution of gases in the cylinder of an internal combustion engine is not new ... some solutions choose to replace the camshaft, but also the traditional souppapes.
in this area, I believe that the solutions invented and produced by engineer Pattakon are perfectly optimized. The exellent work of this engineer should inspire many others.
The belt and rotating cam ring are overly complicated and destined to fail. The rotating valve openings have a major problem. How does it seal the combustion chamber. With computer and electronics technology the way it is today why not just use solenoids to open and close the valves? I know same problem as the belt and cam ring. Destined to failure. Reinventing the wheel is hard to do. Need to simplify to make it better. Factors to consider, friction, wear, strength, reliability, weight, and seal. Good luck.
