Furniture designers

My guess is that you are going to need another sheet of plywood... if you are going to complete what you are describing... do you have a 3-d model of the concept of an image of what you are describing?? If not I can create a blueprints with a cutlist for your project.. very cheap.. all you have to do is follow the cutlist of parts.. tell me exactly what you are wanting and the components that you will be using.. I can create a complete 3-d model of the project.. with photo realistic images.. so... how serious are you???

hey i wasnt soliciting work, rather input, ideas, and tips.

I am a mechanical designer and have lots of hands on experience. i got a good plan for ensuring i optimize materials and a plan for cut drawings

heres a pic of what i quickly did up. im looking for 5.5-7 ft width, and ~3' tall.

im not crazy about the lower half of this design, i also have not added shelves.

i got a bucket of stain, clear coat, a nice skill-saw blade, 90bucks a sheet plywood, and a new hammer.

design needs are a 72 inch base mount TV fits on it, and a home business worth of electronics fits within it. a small printer shelf would be sweet aswell.

ideas like an area to put remote controls, or false back hiding place, are welcome

the floor's also a little warped, not horribly at all

im gonna put a bunch of time in so anything goes. id rather not get another sheet

if you wanna make a concept model ill happily incorporate your ideas.

I built a bookshelf years ago. it started to lean, I didn't think about keeping it upright. You'll need a back piece/plane to keep it from leaning and give it some strength. Looks pretty good though. I like the curved front edge, it gives it some sophistication. but don't forget the back plane. Some intermediate floating shelving would look great as well. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

i will definitely incorporate a back plane, thanks for reminding me. i totally forgot about it until i was lookin at google images last night.

just made a couple sawhorses today and gotta work the next couple days but ill respond here with a link to finished product and model when its done

Good luck with those curved edges. Those were always a pain for me when I made cuts like that. Also, Are you planning to have that lower piece directly on the floor, or were you going to add feet of some sort?
