Generative Design / Topology Optimization

There are plently of commertial software with student versions. Ansys, Altair HyperWorks, Autodesk. They all have good solutions for generatiove design. I use Altair software, as I think, it is the most advanced in this field nowadays.

Fusion360 is completely free, you have generative design module inside the program. Also you could request a student version of solidThinking Inspire, it uses the same algorithm as Optistruct, as Zamat Said, Optistruct from Altair is the leader in generative design.

Ansys is not that good for generative design, but I recommend it for pre and post structural analysis, but the student version is pretty limited in mesh size, so you wouldn't be able to do proper simulations with complex parts.

SolidWorks has a generative design module too, but is similar to the ones found on Ansys and Fusion360, pretty limited compared to Inspired, Optistruct is simply in another level.

Just check SolidThinking Inspire, and give it a try by requesting a student license.

Thank you for your help! What about 'frustrum - generate'. It is mentioned as a cloud based platform, which make it more convenient.

If you are a student, try the academic version of CREO, they have an excellent module for GD
