GrabCAD Community User Group

These are some features that could be added:

1. Video uploading in Tutorials (directly from our PC/laptop)
2. File uploading in Groups
3. Deleting deleted comments' replies in Groups
4. Generalizing Groups' text editor
5. Deleting & editing sent answers'/tutorials' comments
6. Followed users updates in notifications
7. "Download model as" option (Explanation)
8. Improving 3D viewing (Explanation)

How about double-posting questions about a specific CAD system (or specific topic like 3D Printing) in both the Question and Groups sections.

All replies would be listed in both places. Comments too. Members would only have to go to one place to read a question and could reply from whichever section they are in.

The only problem is that most askers just ignore the software tag, or put any tag.

yeah - I've noticed that.  I've also noticed how many users will "hijack" a thread and then ask a question that has no relevance.

Another suggestion…

Can the option to answer be unavailable to the asker.

I find it annoying to see sth. like this; where the asker has "answered" his question many times.

Or sth. like this; where the question is made for advertising.

I have to disagree with you Yahya on both of your examples.

1. in the first one the person who asked the question was just responding back to a question that was asked.  Who cares if the reply was as a comment or an answer.  At least there was some helpful communications. 
2. in the second example the poster was calling to everyone's attention that there was a new Tutorial available (and this one is a very helpful tutorial at that).  GrabCAD Tutorials are hard to find, unless you know what to search for, or you get enough "thumbs up" votes to make it to the top of the list.

(I think I might start doing that myself when I write a new tutorial)

The point is that GrabCAD gives points to your first answer, so at least make it one...

The other point is that answers are - simply - answers... Any additional info. the asker wants to add should be found in his original question, not in the answers section.

Regarding my second example, that is called "Spam"... If your great content didn't get many views/likes as you expected, Sorry, it didn't.

Don't go make a new group discussion/question to share it, that is what spam is.

Another reason is that some users have taken it to a new level by making a tutorial sharing in it the link of a question where they shared their tutorial!
