There is no reason to upload a model which is exactly the same as another model in the library. People do it, especially with tutorial/training items found in classroom training or video tutorials.

When you upload a model it presents you with a link to guidelines:

CAD models not following these guidelines may be taken down:

• Renderings and/or description that don't represent the actual CAD files
• Models violating copyright law (please use proper attribution and permission)
• Inappropriate models (sexually explicit, designs for dangerous weapons, etc.)

if some of this persons models dont fall into that inappropriate category, then its anything goes I guess...

Wish there was a honesty / ethics rating on GRABCAD for members. To me the longterm downside of model plagarism should outweigh the short term gains and these thefts detracts from the overall goals of the GRABCAD community. Just my thoughts

That is an outstanding idea.

I suppose as soon as someone got a a bad ethics rating they'd just make a new account, but then they'd be working back up from 0.

I hope such a feature is incorporated into the site.

Reddit has a Karma rating for their members. Maybe other sites have a similar system?

That is good news. He didn’t seem right from the get go, I did not have any issues until I saw his models. I hope he won’t be back, or at least behaved if he does.

I think you just need a dislike box, to compliment the like. Most people can then make a judgement based on that.
