When it comes to asking a designing-related question, I (and probably everyone else) used to go to the Questions section.

Now that we have Groups, I feel confused...

For example: Asking a question about a problem I faced in SolidWorks could be done either in the questions section by adding "SolidWorks" as a tag, or in the group that supports such topic.

The only difference is that not all questions have groups that support their topic, so those questions can't be in the Groups section.

Another thing to put in consideration is that the possibility of getting your question seen (and answered) is much more higher in the Groups section than in the Questions section. That is because every single member is the group receives a notification telling him that a new discussion has been added, while in the Questions section your question might not be related to the "answer"er's field, so he'll probably just pay it no attention.

Is there a way to connect between both the Questions section and the Groups section?

You could add an option in the groups (available to the admin) to set a couple of keywords that are related to his/her group, so that any question in the Questions section containing one of these words will somehow show in the group (you might add a column at the side containing links to such questions).

The new option could contain:

1) Group's Software (if the group is about a specific software, not a topic)

e.g: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Blender, Catia, etc.

2) Group's Keywords (must be deeply related to the group's topic)

And if you have any suggestions, please let me know.
