I've got 2 questions:
You have been reported, please go to the principals office...
I have clicked on that lonely little arrow a few times...
It should have some text next to it indicating what it is instead of a naked arrow just beckoning to be pushed...
Exactly
The bigger problem is that is invisible; doesn't show up unless you hovered with the cursor above it.
Then curiosity get you to click on it and Poof, another student is headed for detention...
The report tool works a little different on some pages. Most of the time it results in a dialog box/window where you can choose a catergory for what is being reported (spam, offensive...etc.), and there is a little text box where some comments can be written.
I meant the operation of reviewing my report, then acting.
I want to know whether they:
And when do they do so...
The operation behind the scenes is not something we mere users of the site are made aware of.
In my experience, what happens varies on the situation and circumstances.
A new account posting spam will be deleted, along with the content they posted.
If it appears to be a legitimate member who participates, and uploads models, then they would likely receive a warning. Further violations can lead to a suspension. Continued offenses can lead to the account being deleted/banned.
When it occurs is when the report can be acted upon. I doubt you'd see much action taken over a holiday or weekend. Response times can range from minutes to hours on a typical day.
If you don't receive the email within an hour (and you've checked your Spam folder), email us as confirmation@grabcad.com.
