I've noticed that reports aren't being reviewed as regularly as before.
For example, this user has been posting spam questions (which you can find the 5 here) for the past couple of days. Other spam discussions are more than a month old and still haven't been removed.
Is everything OK with the staff members?
Hope everybody is fine...
We recently had a change in our reporting/support team. We are currently working through our backlog of reports. If something isnt resolved within 3 days of reporting just contact me and I will look into it.

This personal page presentation I put after a long and frustrating conversation via mail with (I think) the staff chief of Grabcad, more than half a year ago. You may call spam if you like, but for me is another disfunctionality signal never took into consideration:
I find oddly satisfying to have a significant part of attention from the god of this realm only for me; but the reason he got here is 101% wrong. You have HUNDREDS of empty profiles on your site, Matt - it is obvious these people only take and never give. Well, congrats! Now you have one more... and this one is all because of you and your *rules* (you might want to think if it's worth...)
Hello again Kesa,
Sounds like you are short of tactical officers on the USS GrabCad.
I understand that many company's are in trouble and will not survive the oncoming onslaught in the months ahead, however if GrabCad is not yet in a position where it is forced to discriminate, I am considered a person of disability as I have a very rare form of cancer called MPN although it is not yet terminal I do suffer a variety of debilitating symptoms that I have no choice but to endure. I am told that I no longer have to work with my condition although I was in the middle of creating a new business plan and strategy for a new design engineering business. If GrabCad is open to the idea of having one of its newest and best employee's working from home I would be willing to consider a position. My first priority would be to make Grabcad survive through this oncoming nightmare and then focus on making GrabCad one of the best and most profitable company's within its sector in the world. I completely understand If you feel that you are forced to discriminate with these set of circumstances and especially at this troubling time. I certainly would never hold it against you. I understand that everybody makes mistakes. And by the way going off topic, I gave up on your GrabCad badge system. Thousands of hours of my life wasted there chasing badges that never materialised.
Regards Xgentec Jason
@xgentec, If we have any job openings we will have them here be sure to check often when positions are starting to open up. Also the current badge system currently being worked on so its more automatic. Due to a lot of whats going on this year a lot of projects have been put on hold. If there are certain Badges you have yet to be awarded please let me know and I can look into it.

As some of you may know Matt our Community Support Manager is no longer with GrabCAD. So a lot of the reports are being given to other team members so they wont get to them right away. Please let me know if there is something being spammed and its missed by reports after 48 hours of you reporting the post.

Hopefully the spam will be controlled soon. The Library and Tutorials sections are getting bad with URLs for movies, and mile long "tutorials" promoting some BS or another.
Groups are not far behind with adverts for 3D printing services from moderators, and members trying to sell plans for aluminum boats (again).
I have no idea how much effort is involved in running a website, but 48 hours to remove spam sounds like a losing battle. Matt was able to remove posts in minutes (sometimes). When spam lingers for days it motivates the spammers, and de-motivates the (few?) members who push the report button.
It seems to be that it would be a better if a GrabCAD staff member would pro-actively monitor the Tutorial section and delete the non-CAD posts, instead of waiting for a report. At least once a day, if not more often.
True, but I doubt "monitor for spam" is a full-time, or productive position.
Responding to reports is the more efficient route. I'd say the main problem is the lag time between a report and the investigation of the report. And of course there is a question of how many members press the report button.
I always pressed the report button when the response was quick. Response time became days, and my feeling is nobody on the other side of the button cares about the spam.
If GrabCAD is about automating things (looking at you badge re-vamp), automate spam reports. When a post is reported/flagged X number of times, it is automatically removed from the site and reviewed by a staff member.
If members abuse the system to "remove" posts other than spam, the staff member can restore the post, and go about "punishing" the reporter in the same manner a spammer would be handled.
Not full time, but less than 1 hour a day to manually check and remove, maybe 3 - 4 times a day. Probably much less time than manually investigate & respond to each report and then notifying the reporter (as was done in the past).
Automation is a great goal, but it will probably take a few weeks (based on the progress of the new Badge system). In the meantime, maybe one of the newly hired staff members could do it.
Looks like someone did some housecleaning - the video posts are gone!
A big Thumbs Up to whoever did it!
I don't feel particularly sad finding that M.F. is out of team, no matter what reason was.
He is the reason I cleared ALL models from my profile. Him and frustrated beggars who expect to get anything they want and give nothing in return.
Today I try to find motives to be around here...
A *thank you* would do the trick. Or an observation about any of my models - something that shows I'm more than cattle to milk.
Oh, and it's „you're”. As in: you're welcome.
