I was curious about your view of foiling power catamarans? Now, I am not a naval arhitect, but I have understodd that many cats are planing hulls while going in displacement operation a lot. A recent example is a converted workboat named Elfrida. It is used in Norwe

My hypothesis is that the most efficient solution is a displacing hull (which is more efficient in displacement operation) equipped with foils for out-of-the-water operation whenever getting close to planing speeds. efficiency is needed at slow speed to save energy. Speed is needed for time-effectiveness.
