Spit rotisserie adapter

This adapter bracket required me to first reverse engineer the grill. Then to model the aftermarket spits, and accessories that are used with the spits when desired. All this needed to be positioned inside the grill in such a way that they would not hit each other, or any internal parts. Including the cover. As of yet the client has not asked the cover to be modified to allow it to close. They have asked for another set of brackets that hold the spits 6 inches higher. Obviously, the cover will not be able to be closed when that is used. Now I need to model another bracket that will attach to this existing mounting scheme.

the upshot is everything has enough clearance as designed and built thus far.

Everything was made with minimum basic tools; Hacksaw,battery drill, tape measure, file, and scotch bright to clean up the aluminum. No fancy tools like drill press, mill, or electric saw of any kind were used, nor available.

I found some stop collars in Grainger to attach to the legs of the spit to prevent them from going in any further. This was crucial to not allowing the baskets from hitting any internal parts. Also to keep the center rod from hitting the other cover if they were pushed in too far.

I have uploaded everything in my profile if anyone is more interested in seeing how complex this became...

Oh I just want a simple bracket to mount my spits... Yup, simple they are.
