A conveyor system is a common piece of mechanical handling equipment that moves materials from one location to another. Conveyors are especially useful in applications involving the transportation of heavy or bulky materials.
This title is misleading as there is no actual "design" happening in the tutorial. This is just another simple "modeling with Solid Works" tutorial of some random piece of mechanical equipment. Actual "design" of a conveyor system or any of the individual pieces of equipment required to make up any real materials handling system, is not just producing another of the many "modeling" videos that turn up on youtube.
Design is a much more complex process. This starts off with the material to be moved, this could be bulk materials, such as, rocks and gravel, or wood chips, packages, as would be in a warehouse-distribution center, moving components along an assembly line, all using conveyor systems and very different types of conveyors are required.
Actual "design starts off with material to be moved, choosing the best type of conveyor for the purpose required, the rate of travel, path of conveyor, mass of product and then working out a specification based on what is required to build your system. Design is a multi-step process. We start with what the system needs to work, once we have a specification to work to, we work though the design calculations required to make a system that will work, then we get into the detail. choose the parts we will get manufactured, and the components we will purchase for the conveyor, We only produce the models and the drawings to make the machine once we have designed the machine we require to perform the task we need it for.
If we have done a good job on the design, the modeling and drawings, the last part of the process isn't that difficult.
Since posting my comments above, I have had a quick look at the model you have produced. There is absolutly no value in making a tutorial based around such a poor example of mechanical design. The rollers, you have modeled as machined from solid bar. You have not bothered adding any proper bearing, just having them running in plain holes that have little thickness. These side frames modeled in a way that does not represent any real word part. The ony way to make a real part the same way as the modeled part would be to machine it from a solid rectangular bar. In the real world this part would either be made from a standard parallel flange channel selected from a standard steel section catalog or pressed into a channel from a bit of plate mild steel. This modeled part should reflect the real world design, not the fictional part you have modeled. There are many more faults in this simple mechanical model. Have a good look at the hydraulic actuators, their mounting brackets, and how it all works. Have a good look at what you have here, see if you can see the flaws in what you have come up with. For all you aspiring engineers out there see if you can see disadvantages in the way this part of the machine has been designed. It would also have been a better model if instead of the random actuator model you produced, you had based this part on a real one from a manufacture's catalog.
