hi guys, i'm new to 3D rendering so i need some tips.
i'm pretty aware that the environment, material, lightning, and color in this rendering is not that fine.
please share your tips for this rendering.
PS : i'm using keyshot 7
hi,
Great job.
Few easy fixes:
a. Add ground plate (Ctrl+G)
b. Make background white
c. If not sure how to handle lighting, add some interior lightning scene (other colours of light, different light sources)
Hi Meelis,
thanks for the great tips. also, your model looks so realistic.
oh, i got 2 more questions.
I've always found renderings to look a bit blurry. That can be fixed in a photo editor like Photoshop.
Keyshot should import your native SW files. But if you are exporting your model make sure to use parasolid, or step AP214 so the colors go along with it.
Here are two tutorials that might help:
Hi Fred, thanks for your suggestion.
yep, i've already tried importing file to step AP214 and the colors were included in keyshot. very nice!
what do you mean by let it render longer?
do i have to choose higher resolution to make it longer?
Keep the resolution to the size you want.
There are additional output/render settings that allow you set. I think there are options to set the rendering to run for a fixed amount of time. Or you can set a number of passes. I usually do passes. If your settings are for 60 passes, see what it looks like at 100 passes.
You can also press the H key to display the Heads Up menu. Then, as the image renders on screen, watch how many passes have occured. When the image looks good, set the number of passes based on that test.
You need to up the samples in your render settings for noise to clear,it can depend on just that and biggest tip is experiment....using my phone at the moment but if you need some link's on using the material graph let me know and will send you some when I am at my desktop, good luck
The most simple model's can look good by knowing how to use small changes, sharp edge is different material to blade and look for custom hdri's as having the right one for scene is key...hdrihaven is a good site and free just try some and make a custom folder when you have Keyshot open and import them in, makes it easier if you update Keyshot as you have all your custom stuff in your own folder's.
