Hey Every one i Have Double in how to add Sheet metal Gusset in Creo Other than using Quil Forming (Which i Feel not Accurate)
You can do this by placing a form. As a matter of fact, I think one of the PTC-provided is this shape. See this video for more information:
I will try to re-create this. What version of Creo Parametric are you using? (I don't want to provide a file you can't open.)
I just create a quick model with rib using a custom shape part.
Initial sheet metal model.... (planar + one flange 90 degrees)
Form shape part (standard part created in creo) extrude, draft, full round ....
Final shape sheet metal part ... using form ....
Please let me know if you have any question ...
PS. I used Creo 4.0 for this ...
Here's my video take on this problem where I create the punch form reference model and then use three different methods to place it in the target part.
Hi, I am Using Creo 5.0 Student Edition
Hi, Thank you for the Video it was very helpful.
Glad it helped. I would send you the files, but since you are using the Student Edition, you wouldn't be able to open them since they were created in a commercial version.
I few small comments regarding to your video...
Please don't understand me wrong, I'm just trying to help....
Have a great day!
