Hey everyone, this board has been kind of quiet the past few weeks. I've been working more and more in Creo 5.0, and I'm wondering, what version(s) do you primarily use? I'm guessing most people are on 3.0 and 4.0, and many companies will skip 5.0 and 6.0 and wait for the major 7.0 release in 2020.
I bring this up because I believe the Sketch Regions functionality is the biggest change to fundamental part modeling since Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 1.0 got rid of the whole distinction between Protrusion and Cut, Solid and Surface, Thin Protrusion / Thin Cut, etc.
If you haven't seen Sketch Regions, check them out. They make part modeling dramatically easier for Extrudes and Revolves, and combined with the new depth options in 4.0, users will have to make significantly fewer features (especially datum planes).
And I know Creo is late to the game with this, since SW and NX have had this forever, but better late than never.
