The FCC has been told by major cellular carriers that they want to eliminate 2G and more importantly 3G communication networks in the United States and have been trying desperately to do so over the last 5 years.

However, one of the major implications is all of the vehicle and other supporting telecom networks that depend on older cellular for simple things such as alarm systems, IoT, and even fleet trucking management for supply chains.

This is to showcase that not only is the world moving to more electric vehicles, but also other communication systems are speeding up the forced obscolescence similar to what has happened with computers and consumer electronics.
