Design consideration for coining operation

I am designing a part where I need to place a coining operation. But I don't know how to design like In sheet metal, for coining operation how much depth we can provide as per thickness. How much distance we should provide from bend to coining and from edge of sheet to coining.

Depends on the material. Some materials can be drawn deep due to high tensile strength and good elongation properties. Also depends on the forming method. If you are coining a shape very deep, you may need to add a pressure plate or similar to keep the blank under tension during the forming process. Edge distance again has to do with the depth of the feature. Any significant depth will cause distortion in the sheet metal edge and will need trimmed after form.
