I'm relearning Solidworks. What tips, tricks and rules should I know to become a professional?

Hello everyone,

I'm not a complete beginner, but I've started using Solidworks again after a while. I'm trying to work on getting a CSWA certification by the end of this year and was wondering what fundamental skills / tips / tricks I need to know now as I'm relearning Solidworks. One question that I have is that I know fully defining a sketch is important, but are there any exceptions where that's not needed? Are there any "universal" rules to approaching the creation of a part from a drawing and if I'm unsure about missing dimensions what should I do? Hope these questions get the discussion rolling.

P.S. I'm new to the group so if a similar discussion was already posted please give me a heads up. Also any links to helpful videos or tutorials will be much appreciated.
