Exactly, in the first step in the CURRENT / RENDERER folder, it is only to obtain the name of the current video card, and in the second step is to add the data of the same to the list of certified cards.

PS: the value of 40000 has worked for me on at least 6 different video cards, which is why I think it's a general value.

im also sensing this should work with any gpu that has GL2 (OpenGL 2.x or higher) be it nvidia intel or amd.

Tested with my old Radeon 6870 (OpenGL 4.1), seems to work fine on the first try with 40000.

I've done that a while ago with mi GTX770 4GB and works really well, one of the best mods for those who don't have the money or the access to professional GPUs.

I just made real view on a PC with Intel HD graphics card.

Do not be fooled. You can not work comfortably in realview mode without quadro videocard. Any rotation or movement of the part will be with display delay. In large assemblies, it is impossible to work at all. The reason is not in a beautiful picture. The fact is that the solidworks transfer part of the calculations from the CPU to the quadro. And your video cards are not suitable for such calculations.

Leave the display settings as is. Your productivity in solidworks will be higher.
