hey
please i ask about how can i make round part folded in solidworks
thanx
Hi,
remove outer and inner fillets with surface erase and patch command after
then break the fillets as you want.
can i have a full design of it ill help u
since the pic is not clear
I think in Solidworks Sheetmetal it´s not possible to creat this exact feature in a way that lets you still unwrap it.
The only way i see is to creat a ´stepping´of the dome, so many short straight pieces with shallow bends, think of it like converting a cirle into a polygon (google ´step bending´ for images).
This ways you will get straight edges that you can bend away from.
it´s not perfect but it creates the bent edge you want.
If it´s just for visuals and you don´t need to unwarp it you should be able to simply extrude from the front surface and use fillets to get the look you want.
I hope that answers your question.
Yes! you absolutely can!
remember to set your sheet metal parameters to K-Factor with a value of .333, .444 or .50. Or any value in between those values.
or did you mean rolled channel. I can make this in my shop with a two part process. where we form the edges and then roll it after with flanges pre-bent. It is possible to progressively roll this but required sophisticated tooling and machinery. But I was able to create this in one feature. A sheet metal swept flange.
