Did you tried Photoview 360...?

you can always find a picture of color and sheen you want and save picture in appearance folder for solidworks. I have a finish folder and a glass folder in my appearance folder. Then add image to part and edit as you would like. I do this a lot as i'm a design engineer and some clients like the color on piece to get a general idea of total outcome. You can also save as 3D PDF and send so recipient can see part from all angles.

you need to activate your pc graphics then only you able to see that shinny metal

yes tried those, it seems like when i try different effects the modal doesn't change the only on i can see that's making the model change it the transparent that's working...

as to key shot or phot view 360 haven't tried but will look into that..

you should check roughness...

You have 3 methods

1. Activate RealView graphics
2. Have rendering software like KeyShot, Blender, SOLIDWORKS Vizualise...
3. Use Photoview 360

I used the glass appearance on all faces then used a glass imaged that i saved in a folder on my drive and applied that to front of face.

kind of a way to cheat for glass but you can save any image and apply to different faces to achieve the look you want. Also you go to apply scene and go to plain white to give a more realistic look.

sending and saving as a pdf. just check the 3D pdf box and thats it. Only works in adobe that i know of.

There's realview hack .exe file you can download. Once you run the .exe file, it does the magic by tweaking the registry
