Can i attach (override) the weight and Center of Mass of a part (without needing to define materials for Solidworks to calculate it)

Hi i am new to Solidworks but with singificant experience in other CAD software and i would like to address the following: Generally some items in the assemblies are ready (bought from vendors) and for them i do not need to (and in some cases cannot) create a detailed 3d model with all details and materials defined. I just want to model their external boundaries, their interface details with the other parts and manually attach their weight and Center of Mass. I do not need to know what their complex internals consist of. I want to consider them just as "black boxes". I know their mass and center of mass and i want to attach this information on the items (and override any values that are calculated by solidworks - i do not even care to define materials). Is there a method to do this? in other cad software there are tools for this task (e.g. in cadworx the command "generic attach") is there a similar tool in Solidworks? If not, how do you handle these cases?
Thank you in advance
