saving STEP imported assemblies

Opening STEP file I have a nice assembly.
Saving it in the directory I have stored one only file. SLDASM, containing all subassembly and part components.
Is it possible to store every part and assembly like a separate file?

It the parts and subassemblies within the assembly are virtual, you would need to open each part and subassembly individually, and save them.

If your file is saving as a .sldasm, and the individual pieces aren't virtual, then, with the assembly open, choose File>Save All, and it should save all the parts and subassemblies.

Nice! Now I am interested how to open a step file (containing an assembly) and have all subassemblies and component parts as real ones.
