What type of four bar mechanism does a dump truck really use ? I need an explanation because from doing research it left me puzzled. I would appreciate answers.

Dump trucks used in construction.

If I read the description correctly, you refer to a half scissor jack mechanism. You'll have two arms connected to the frame. Two arms connected to the dump body and they meet at a pivot point.
Then to operate you will have a hydraulic cylinder connected to the frame and also connected to a cross arm just above the pivot arm. That cylinder pulls on the cross arm which spreads the arms apart raising the dump body.
Do a Youtube search for "dump bed kits". They are for converting a pickup truck into a dump truck, while keeping the pickup truck body.
