Has anyone actually been able to use OpenFOAM ? This open source software has occupied all my brain cells trying to operate.

I want to know how to clean install OpenFOAM in Linux or Windows. And run a basic CFD analysis, to begin with.

Hello Ankit, yes I have run OpenFOAM successfully on Windows this week. I had the same problem as you for many months, I tried many ways without success, but I found that FreeCAD now supports an OpenFOAM CFD workbench plugin that simplifies the mesh issues. There is a good video by Michael Hindley that covers all the steps here:

I am currently working on importing a model from Blender in FreeCAD in obs format and I have run into some issues. Make sure the original model is clean, correctly formed, no loose vertices, holes, duplicate faces etc. My advice is to start with something simple and work up from there.
