Solidworks doesn't has a free version but you can buy a student license that is cheaper than the normal solidworks version.
You contact their customer service or PR and ask them to sponsor you. They send our free copies to certain clubs and educational reasons. However, they don't have an official free license option available to gen pop.

If you don't mind a different CAD software, autodesk inventor is free with proof of being a student, or fusion360 which is free for hobbyists.
