The first step is for your designs to be good enough, though many that are are not that good, and some that are amazing are popular. In the context of the world having popular GrabCad models is not that really important. In an Engineering career GrabCad " likes" are not very important, being able to produce work that can be built and works as intended, way more important, this is what will keep you employed and fed way better than any GrabCad " likes". My father long dead, produced quality work throughout his working life, never had any popular models on GrabCad, but I can go and look over things he built and admire the quality and skill in his work. If being "liked" on GrabCad is such a big deal to you need to maybe consider stepping away from your computer and CAD models and get a bit more of a real life.
