How much minimum Torque required to rotate vertical shaft with 1000N axial load?

1. Shaft is holed with couple of bearing at bottom and middle.
2. For motor selection.
3. Required RPM - 20 to 30

hi Balaji,
I read your post regarding the torque required for rotating a 1000N load.
found it very interesting, too had queries on such applications.
as per my knowledge, you need the mass of the shaft, the friction of bearings and collar if any, and the inertia of the whole body including the shaft.
The energy you need is either to initiate motion or to decrease the motion rest of the time it runs with very low torque.
By the way, oriental motor selection is one of the methods.
