image appears white on insering image in sketch tracer of catia v5

this implies that the image your trying to insert had a white background. To solve this, you have to edit the image in a program like Photoshop to make the white portion transparent and save it in a format like .PNG, (which supports transparency)

Just change view mode to Metarial Shading.
