How creat mold in SolidWorks?

How work with Mold tool commands. The simple way of creating camera mold.

1. Step 1:

   Step 1
   First of all add Mold tool command. Open existing part.

   

2. Step 2:

   Step 2
   Add Scale. Scale depend on material you use. Press OK.

   

3. Step 3:

   Step 3
   Create Parting line. This part split Core and Cavity. Add special Angle and press Draft Analyze. Colors show faces (negative, positive). Line can be created automatically. Press OK.

   Shut Off Surfaces, this close all gaps.

   

5. Step 5:

   Step 5
   Create Parting Surface. Surface must be larger then mold block.

   

6. Step 6:

   Step 6
   Create Core and Cavity by Tool Split. Press and select plane in this example it is Front Plane, in this plane create sketch (it will be mold block). Press OK

   Enter value of Core and Cavity. Press OK

   Split for independent parts. At Solid Body press right mouse bottom and choose Save Bodies
