how to emboss and engrave text on any model/component in CATIA ?

This is a very weird method

1. Step 1:

   start a draft

2. Step 2:

   type in you text

3. Step 3:

   save as dwg

4. Step 4:

   open the saved dwg file

5. Step 5:

   copy the text

6. Step 6:

   paste it in the sketching plane in sketch while working on your part (the text is in black)
   note: when you paste the text, you may not be able to see it. I recommend clicking on 'fit to window'

7. Step 7:

   the newly inserted text can be transformed scaled etc.

8. Step 8:

   exit sketcher. on this sketch you can do any operation you wish
